Mother’s Love
My daughter us turning fifteen in a few months, and I am quite excited for her to soon become an adult. She is going through one of the most difficult phases in her life, what with her trying to find her identity and sense of self. It is important that I be there to support her all the way, so I can be assured that she gets sound advice and help from an adult.
For her birthday, I wanted to give her something she would be willing to wear in public and remind her how much I love her. I bought her a single pearl pendant as a symbol of how much she means to me. A pearl takes years before it is formed into a natural and beautiful piece. This is the same phase she would have to undergo, taking years in order for her to transform into a wonderful being capable of showing what she can contribute to the world. This is my way of telling her that in time she is going to be an adult and would have to fly on her own.
